On World Quality Day, The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), the entity responsible for developing quality infrastructure and raising awareness on quality standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, has honored companies which supply products awarded the QCC Certificate of Conformity and license to bear the Abu Dhabi Trustmark due to their high quality, high performance and conformity to safety requirements.
Among the honored organizations was Emirates Motor Company Passenger Cars (EMC PC), and receiving the award on behalf of ALFAHIM and EMC PC were: ALFAHIM Group Head of Business Development – Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Al Fahim, General Aftersales Sales of EMC PC – Mr. Khaldoun Sousou, and Customer Care Coordinator at EMC PC Aftersales – Mr. Tarek Moustafa.
World Quality Day is marked on 8th of November each year in order to enhance awareness of the important contribution that quality makes towards both organizational and national growth, in addition to highlighting the role of quality in developing an economy and leading to the success of institutions and services.
The Abu Dhabi Trustmark is a QCC initiative designed to enhance Abu Dhabi’s quality infrastructure and position the emirate as a leading quality and conformity hub. It also helps to promote a quality culture, industrial development, competitiveness, and consumer safety.
Sultan Saeed Al Mehairi, Director of Information Service and Engagement at QCC, said: “The private sector is a key partner in achieving QCC’s vision of improving the quality infrastructure in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by adopting quality standards in both the manufacture of products and the procedures of providing its services. Today, as part of our celebrations of World Quality Day, we have honored the top companies that have adopted the concept of promoting a culture of quality in their operations and have therefore marked their products with the Abu Dhabi Trustmark.”
Mr. Al Mehairi also urged all companies to verify the quality of their products by applying for the Certificate of Conformity and a license to use the Trustmark on the product and packaging. The Council issues the Certificate and the Trustmark after performing a comprehensive evaluation of the product, in order to ensure the compliance of both the product and the manufacturing quality systems according to the requirements and regulations of the conformity scheme.
The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in 2009 to enable regulatory bodies in Abu Dhabi to raise the quality of exports and products traded locally, and to promote a culture of quality, industrial development, competitiveness and consumer safety by enabling regulators to develop and implement product safety, legal standards and conformity programmes.
