Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the Mercedes-Benz authorized distributor in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, has announced that Customers who have purchased any AMG after 1 June, 2016 will receive vouchers to participate in three different AMG experiences at Yas Marina Circuit until December, 2016: the Mercedes-AMG GT Experience, the Mercedes-AMG Drag Passenger Experience for owners of AMG cars, and the Mercedes-AMG E 63 Hot Laps for a friend of an AMG car owner.
The experience offers owners of AMG, the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz, an opportunity to experience both driving and drag racing at the world-renowned racing track in Yas Island that hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Participants can also bring a friend to experience the thrill of racing with hot laps around the track alongside a professional driver.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Experience will allow AMG owners to drive their cars for 15 minutes under instruction, gradually increasing speed to familiarize themselves with the circuit and the characteristics of the car – with the traction control switch on. If the driver reaches a good level of competence, the instructor will allow him to raise the rpm on main straight to sense the feeling of speed.
As part of the Mercedes-AMG Drag Passenger Experience, AMG owners will participate in eight races across 400 metres of the drag strip against a fellow competitor, with the focus on reaction time and safety. The speed will be limited to 120 km/h in the first lap to help the drivers familiarize themselves with the circuit, following which they will be allowed to use full rpm in the remaining laps.
Meanwhile, the Mercedes-AMG E 63 Hot Laps event will allow a friend of the AMG owner to experience the thrill of racing in three flying laps with an instructor followed by a cool-down lap.
